Consulting and operating on one campus
Unusually, the consulting rooms and the hospital are the same site. For a joint replacement patient that removes a fair amount of friction: the pre-operative appointments, the imaging, the surgery, and the early reviews all happen in one place you have already been to and can already find.
Dr Clark operates at:
- St John of God Murdoch — where most private hip and knee replacement surgery is performed
- Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital and Osborne Park Hospital — public lists
- Perth Children’s Hospital
Which hospital is used depends on the procedure and your individual circumstances, and is discussed with you at your consultation.
What Dr Clark sees patients for
- Knee arthritis and hip arthritis — assessment, and the non-surgical options before replacement is considered
- Total knee replacement and partial knee replacement, performed with robotic assistance
- Hip replacement, including the direct anterior approach
- Knee revision surgery and hip revision surgery — for a joint replacement that has loosened, worn, become infected or failed
- Meniscus tears, ACL injuries and knee arthroscopy
Areas served
The Murdoch rooms see patients from across Perth’s southern and western suburbs, including Murdoch, Fremantle, Melville, Booragoon, Bull Creek, Willetton, Canning Vale, Cockburn, Success, Applecross, Bibra Lake and Kardinya.
If you are further south, the Mandurah rooms may save you the drive.
The practice in numbers
Dr Clark performed 401 hip and knee replacements in 2025 and more than 900 since the start of 2024, around 60% of that work being knee replacement. Sixty of those procedures were revisions.
Most of that operating is done at St John of God Murdoch.
